Myoken Marche

Myoken Marché may be the smallest bakery in Otaru, Hokkaido. It is in Myoken Market that was once a thriving market in Otaru. The market does not have the bustle of old days any more, and only several shops keep up their business, but they are still popular with some customers.

Myoken Marché is a newcomer among the shops of old standing, but this tiny and spiffy bakery, run by a young baker, seems to bring new perspective to the dwindling market by attracting new customers who like good home-baked bread.
Please visit Myoken Marché. You can enjoy a variety of good bread. You can also find the local fresh seafood, vegetables and fruits at lower prices compared with supermarkets.
Myoken Market
2-11-1 Hanazono, Otaru, Hokkaido
10:00-19:00 Closed on Sundays
Take Route No.5 to the direction for Sapporo from JR Otaru Station. Go two blocks, and turn to the right just after passing under the overpass. You will find the market buildings on your right, but those buildings are not used any more. Go up the road along the building. You can get to the active marketplace by crossing the road at the first block.
